Tom Lavoie is a certified FocalPoint business coach, and a seasoned and enthusiastic champion for your business. Lavoie has 33 years of experience in business and technology operations, strategic business planning, and senior leadership, including 30 years at The Hewlett-Packard Company where he developed a passion for ferreting out “can’ts” and turning them into “cans” for his national and global customers. With Tom’s support and guidance, his customers have been able to improve their bottom line, retain customers, and build high-performance teams to achieve success. These principles have served Tom well over his extensive career. Tom started at The Hewlett-Packard Company in the 1980s as a young and tenacious software developer. Over the course of 30 years, he worked his way up through the organization, eventually becoming the Worldwide Operations Business Reporting & Planning Manager for HP Enterprise Services. Tom left The Hewlett-Packard Company in 2015 to pursue a coaching and consulting path and in 2018 aligned with FocalPoint Business Coaching where he works with companies and executives primarily surrounding Orange County/Los Angeles, San Diego, and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Tom holds Bachelor of Computer Science and Bachelor of Mathematics degrees from State University of New York College at Potsdam. He enjoys public speaking to audiences of all sizes. He resides in Southern California with his two children, both of whom he’s raised to be just as devoted to tennis as he is. When he’s not coaching clients or playing tennis, Tom enjoys staying fit at the gym and the beach, connecting with friends, and is active with his church and the Knights of Columbus.
